Vicarious Music & Media

It’s not music related but…

It is also just too noble not to post.

At the time of his death, Heath Ledger had been working on the epic fantasy film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. The studio decided to continue and see the film through, replacing Heath’s character in a very creative way with three of the best: Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Ferrell.

It is being reported that these three men, who are all fathers themselves, have donated their salaries for the film to Heath;s daughter Matilda.

Unfortunately Heath had not updated his will since his daughter had been born, and close friends fear that his estate may be mis-managed under the execution of his father Kim. This surely will provide a nice cusion for Matilda’s future.

Film director Terry Gilliam said, “They didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter. That’s extraordinary! And wonderful . . . and when you’re part of that, you think, ‘Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people. And we’ve got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help.”

Showing Hollywood has a lot of heart.
