Singer Amy Winehouse has defended her husband in a series of texts after the couple were involved in a violent row which left them both bloodied and bruised.Amy denied Blake was the cause of the argument, 24 hours earlier after which the 23-year-old singer, who has spent most of the summer in and out of rehab for crack and heroin addiction, was seen with bandages covering her arm, blood-spattered shoes and a gashed knee.

And in a series of texts between the Rehab singer and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, she defended her husband who she claimed “saved my life”.

Amy told Perez: “Blake is the best man in the world. We would never ever harm each other… I was cutting myself after he found me in our room about to do drugs with a call girl and rightly said I wasn’t good enough for him. I lost it and he saved my life.”

Due to the rigours involved in touring, Amy Winehouse has been advised to postpone her upcoming September US and Canadian tour dates.   All ticket holders may obtain refunds at their point of purchase.  Amy’s European and UK tour dates in October and November remain in place.  Plans are being made to reschedule her US tour for early 2008.  Until then, Amy has been ordered to rest and is working with medical professionals to address her health.  - Official Statement from Universal.

For those of you that can’t read between the lines, she’s in REHAB and Medical Professionals (REHAB) are trying to get her clean….oh how i love it.

Thank you so much putting the rumors to rest and admitting to your recent troubles via the below statement, but can’t you see that your hit song is no longer ironic but just plain scary?

“It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. It was just crazy—one of the most terrifying moments of my life. I don’t know how to explain what happened. I don’t really know myself. I can’t remember what I looked like. I couldn’t recognize myself. It was terrifying—I was terrified. I was so out of control. It just happened. It shocked me. However, despite acknowledging her overdoes and drinking/drugging problem, the songstress snuck out of rehab and checked herself into a hotel.  As far as we know most Four Seasons do not offer detox….

She claims she’ll be jumping back on her tour today and all will be well.

The latest breaking new in the Amy Winehouse saga is the anti-rehaber has just checked herself IN to rehab.

Her label did what they had to in attempts to cover up what is being confirmed by friends and family members as a drug overdose.

She’s making her very first attempt at recover at The Priority rehab in Roehampton, South West London.

As to how this will affect her upcoming appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards as well as her scheduled US dates, we shall wait and see.

Amy will be bringing her raved about live show to the U.S. in a pair of popular music festivals this August, with the V Festival in Washington, DC on August 4, and the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, IL on August 5.  The charismatic star’s much anticipated end-of-summer jaunt  kicks off at NYC’s Summer Stage on September 12, with a show the following day – September 13 – at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, PA.  She will be appearing at the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, TX on September 15, with stops in Los Angeles on September 18 & 19, San Francisco on September 21 & 22, Seattle on September 25, Minnesota on September 28, and pulling into Chicago, IL on September 29 – with more dates to be announced.
