The Dream, born Terius Nash, made the announcement today (August 27) via his official Twitter page.
“I wanna thank everyone at Island Records/DefJam for their faith in me and making me Executive Vice President of Island Records,” The Dream said in a statement on his Twitter page. “Thank you to my team..my manager Mark Stewart & my attorney Aaron Rosenberg for getting this 1st step of a goal accomplished.”
Vicarious Music-approved V-SO Hott has officially dropped his single “Exploded” which in our opinion establishes him as the next songwriter/artist to watch out for and possibly challenge Ne-Yo and The-Dream for their current seats in the world of R&B and Pop music.

Emily King was great at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. She went on around 3:30 and played until a little after 4 PM, it couldn’t have been a nicer day and she played to a good size crowd.
She absolutely KILLED “Business Man”, which was played acoustically and ended with her upcoming single “Walking In My Shoes” (which we have heard features Lupe).
