Mark Ronson, ready for his close-up, at the Santogold L.E.S Artistes Video Shoot

Crazy Tom Cruise reportedly asked Mark Ronson to DJ Suri Cruise’s upcoming 2nd Birthday extravaganza on April 18th. Mark was the official DJ at Tom and Katie’s wedding in Italy. Sources say that Tommy is impressed with Mark, because at his wedding he played a remixed version of the Top Gun theme.  Vicarious Music really loves Mark Ronson so we’re going to leave the many jokes here alone.

KanyeKanye had a genius performance at this years 50th Grammy’s.  Daft Punk and Kanye absolutely killed the stage and then Kanye had a beautiful tribute to his mother (which we all knew was going to happen). Then he done spoke…  He won best Rap Album beating out Nas, Jay-Z, T.I. (we were personally praying for a acceptance speech from JAIL) and Common.  He done did it, it crossed genres, WE HOME BABY…that’s right Kanye you’re home, we’re glad you snuck in 4 years ago.  Seriously asking them to stop the music because you drug on too long and talk about your mom.  Wow.  Should have made it short and sweet and just mentioned her.  We do however agree with you calling out Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson also putting out incredible music this past year.

Word on the street is that the wonderfully talented and innovative Mark Ronson will not be working with Lily Allen on her sophmore album.

Apparently Lily accuses Ronson for taking too much of the credit for her hugely acclaimed debut. Ronson has told the press that his calls to Allen regarding her new album have not been returned.

In my opinion for artists like Winehouse and Allen, its a 50/50 deal between producer and artist. One hand washes the other, and when you have such talents and experts at their respective craft working togeher-you can make something magical.

Take out a piece of that…and well, we’ll see what happens.

Good luck Lily, I think you’re going to need it without Ronson behind you.

Mark Ronson featuring Lily Allen

“Oh My God”, personally our favorite track on the album…

If you do not own the Mark Ronson record you’re missing out on something incredible…

Mark Ronson talks about his experience at Glastonbury 07…we highly recommend you buying his new record “Versions” and going to see him live!

Last night at the Highline Ballroom Mark Ronson performed with special guests…  Daniel Merriweather, Alex from Phantom Planet, Daptone Horns, Tiggers, Kenna and Saigon.

Mark Ronson is a pure piece of talent…most know him as a DJ or even as a producer (for Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse) but he’s also a very talented musician, playing guitar and the keys.  His album “versions” was released yesterday and is a MUST BUY!

Jay-Z, Q-Tip, models, Danny (from that 70’s show) and all the cool kids were in the house last night which I think speaks miles for Ronson’s cred.

As for the special guests, I was most impressed with Alex from Phantom Planet who not only jumped into the audience for some crowd surfing but also hyped up the entire energy of the room.

We have been listening to “versions” on repeat since!
