Chicago’s own Lollapalooza has just announced their 2008 lineup.  Amidst months of speculation it’s official that Kanye, Rage Against The Machine and Radiohead will be the main headliners, with second tiered support from our boy Trent and Nine Inch Nails, Wilco and The Raconteurs.

The festival hits Grant Park August 1st -3rd.  Our take on the line -up? It’s OK, we’ve seen better, but we’d still check it out if we were in the Chicago area.

Created in 1991, by Jane‘s Addiction front man, Perry Farrell, Lollapalooza established itself as the first large-scale showcase in the U.S. for the alternative music scene. It quickly became a lifestyle festival staple for exposing concertgoers to a subculture of ‘alternative‘ living and art, and providing a platform for numerous human rights and environmental causes.After all that, did you know that the actual word “lollapalooza” means “remarkable or wonderful person or thing?” This will be the theme for the ” Threadless Loves” design submissions.
