Hurricane Chris - A Bay Bay Single
I like this song. It has a good beat, and makes me laugh! I believe he’s touring right now, and actually later this month he is scheduled to be on one my local radio stations here in Minnesota, for an interview. This single is great for a club, and of course if you’ve been to any of the local clubs in the last couple of months, I’m sure you’ve heard it. It really gets the crowd goin. He’s only 18 years old and damn, for being 18 he’s made a name for himself!! I’d recommend this to anyone that likes to dance, loves a good beat, and likes to laugh a little. I love it. “A bay bay” The way it’s spelled simply makes it ten times better.

Bjork - “Volta”
For all of you who don’t know this amazing singer/songwriter.. Her name is Bjork. She is from Iceland, a beautiful country with very low crime, she states in her autobiography. She was in a punk rock band in her younger years, The SugarCubes. Her most recent album, Volta was released May 2007. I sat up until midnight listening to our local radio station for the debut of her single for this album. It was very exciting and did not disappoint. This is her sixth album and I don’t love it any more or less that the others. As always she uses many different sounds that create the stories in her songs. She was at Coachella this year which I didn’t have the opportunity to go to.. Very upsetting.. I hear it was absolutely amazing though! The brass in this album is beautiful and amazing. Timbaland produced the song “Earth Intruders” on this album, I suggest you listen to that one.
If you love Bjork, I’m SURE you will love this album. If you’ve never heard of her before, be sure to listen closely… There’s a lot going on in her songs!

Imogen Heap - “Speak for Yourself”
I got this cd recently and I really am in love with it. I listened to it on my way to California during the plane ride. It’s probably a little girly for some tastes. I think it’s really sweet that she learned how to play instruments all by herself and used to use the Atari Computer for production. I know she was also in Frou Frou and I’ve heard a couple of their songs and like them as well. She has other solo cds but I haven’t got a chance to listen to them. But, now I think I might try since I like this one so much! It’s another feel good cd. I really like the song “Goodnight and Go” on this cd. I love the electronic feel and her vocals. The song “Hide and Seek” was also in one of my favorite tv shows! I’m really going to investigate her other work.

“Kala” by M.I.A
I love it. The whole cd has a great beat in every song! She has a great voice! I love the first song “Bamboo Banga.” This cd makes me want to dance all over my apartment! It always makes me smile when I listen to it. It’s a great mood uplifter. The song “Bird Flu” is Fantastic!! It always gets stuck in my head. I’m always “Nnananananaaa”-ing all over! Haha.. This is the best song to jump around to. This whole cd is a awesome addition to any party. I would love to see her live! It would be so fun. And then there’s the song, “Boyz” I believe it was tone of their most popular ones and you’ll see why if you listen. I could really go on about each and every song but I’m afraid I might bore you. So my point is. Buy this album!!

Citizen Cope- ” Every waking Moment ”
I like this cd, that I just got!
It’s mellow enough to listen to right when you get out of the shower and are getting ready for bed! But it has enough melody and still enough funk to make you smile. I think I will enjoy listening to this cd, chilling out and enjoying the last of the summer days… Or sunny ones at least. They have really good melody and I love the voice of the lead singer(Clarence Greenwood). I really love the third song on the cd, Friendly Fire, I think it might be my favorite. The keyboard/piano and guitar combo is fantastic! I think this band would appeal to a variety of people because I think that the genre of music is a blend of many. I believe this is also their latest album.

The Good, The Bad & The Queen-Self Titied
I like the song, 80’s life. It’s easy to listen to and it has a feel good mood. My boyfriend also likes them a lot. His favorite song is “Kingdom of Doom.” I can hear a little bit of where all the band members came from in their previous bands. I believe “Herculean” was one of their popular songs and I can really see why!!

Something I would only listen to when I’m feeling sad and driving around in my car during the summer time. I’ve heard people saying that “one love” is there favorite song on this album, but as for me I dislike it the most. It’s too cheesy and I don’t like the lyrics.
