They father of ambient music, or so they call him. He’s been around since the 70s. He is now about 60 years old! I don’t know how much music he is doing now. I think he perhaps is just doing some movie music now. If your into listening to some fantastic ambient music on a lazy day I highly suggest looking him up. His inspiration was minimalism. He has done a lot of abstract soundscapes on some compilations. I usually enjoy listening to him on late night when I don’t want to wake the neighbors but want to listen to something a bit inspiring. It’s very easy going music that is nice to write to, if your a writer at all. Eno has also been know for his involvement when he helped out David Bowie on his avant garde berlin trilogy. He also helped make Devo popular. He has recently contributed a chapter to “Sound Unbound: Sampling Digital Music and Culture” So check it all out! And let me know what you think.
I enjoy listening to this cd after a long walk on sunny days. It’s a relaxing cd. I enjoy listening to more acoustic music sometimes. And Jack Johnson’s voice is very soothing. My friend Kc first introduced me to Jack Johnson with the song ” The News”. It’s a great song if you’ve never heard it. I’ve just discovered that Jack Johnson is Hawaiian! Haha.. He’s only been around since 2001 but I think he’s put out some very good work in the past few years. Some people consider his work soft rock but I mostly just consider it acoustic.

It’s an electronic album, if you know Moby at all then, of course you would expect this.
I like the phat beats of this new single. I love the Midi Remix.

It’s similar to what I listen to most of the time. A lot of the local Dj’s I go see here in MN have this Phat sound
I enjoy the vocals as well. And if you like Electronic music at all I highly recommend it!!

I don’t enjoy the acappella remix on this album as much though. It’s a lot slower and not as exciting!~
And the DROP THE LIME HEAVY BASS remix is SWEET! If you like Drum and Bass I think you will like this one more

The Chemical Brothers - Battle Scars EPIf you’ve ever heard the Salmon dance by Chemical Brothers, you know that it’s simply fantastic. In this EP just release Fri the 18th, they remade the Salmon Dance song. It’s quite spectacular as well. A little bit more dance-y. The “WoW” Mix.. I actually happen to be annoying my boyfriend with this song right now! If you don’t know the Chemical Brothers then check them out now, and youtube the Salmon dance, I think you will be entertained! I’ve loved the Chemical Brothers for years they always seem to be coming up with something new and I have never disliked any of their work.I would love to see them live. Back In Your Head - Remixes, Vol. 2 - EP - Tegan & Sara
First off, I love Tegan and Sara. I think their fantastic. Their single “Back in your head” is awesome! And they made this remix single of like three songs. The second one (RAC mix) is pretty sweet, other than that I prefer the original version. Most of the remixes on this album, I feel interfere with the awesome-ness of the original song. For all of you that don’t know “back in your head” Original version I highly recommend checking it out, if you like indie/girly-ness. I’ve been interested in Tegan and Sara for a long time.
Also, another thing about this album.. On itunes and other things they list it as “Dance” music which really it is not even close to dance music. I am a big dance/electronica fan and this is no where near what dance music is. So if that’s what your looking for in this “Remix” album of “Back in your head” you are going to be very disappointed.

Essential Underground Hip-Hop 3- Various Artists
” I was listening to this cd and discovered someone new that I have never heard of and now like. AZ. I believe this cd was released this last april, so it’s still fairly new. People have said very good things about this cd and I really have to agree. It brings a lot of the 90’s hip hop sound back, which I happen to enjoy a lot. I’m sure you can find a website, where you might be able to sample some of the sounds. I would highly recommend that. I don’t know very much about hip hop but I really enjoyed this cd and I hope you all do as well. Check it out! Also, be sure to check out the songs by AZ on it, they are my favorite!
