After many boughts of public craziness, some more drug doing caught on tape, and allegations of cheating on her “beloved” and incarcerated Blake…with her manager’s assistant Alex Haynes, Daddy Winehouse is speaking out on the drastic measures he’s taking to help is daughter.
He spoke out to the UK’s news of the world in an open letter:
“I want her sectioned (institutionalized). The situation is getting out of control. I want her off the street. I don’t think being somewhere for six weeks is going to cure her problems. I think it needs far more radical measures. We will take the bull by the horns and deal with it. I’ve been on the phone to Amy’s manager in Los Angeles and he’s starting things rolling. They are going to be speaking to doctors, psychologists and everything else. I want Amy to be somewhere where she will be safe and where no harm can come to her. Obviously as her dad I will try and do what’s best for her. Unfortunately, what I think is best for Amy and what she thinks is best for her are two different things.”
And then confirmed the reports regarding Amy’s cheating ways, and why this rings the distress alarm surrounding her handlers:
“I am shocked. His job was to look after Amy. I asked him to stay with Amy while she was recording… This was not part of the job! I don’t like infidelity. But Alex could be the victim in all this. I can’t ever imagine Alex seducing Amy. He looks like Clark Kent. It was clearly the other way round and Amy had her wicked way with him…”
Some may criticize Mitch for speaking so candidly and openly to the media…but if we all remember correctly last time the Winehouse parentals reached out to Amy through the media…she went to rehab (even if only for a day or 2). If they can’t reach Amy, I don’t see the harm in garnering the support of a nation (or 2).
Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has long been known for his drug use and distorted reality. One of his public favorites is Absinthe, which he illegally smothers into the U.S (along with skeletons of Chinese young and various other “artifacts” that are definately not allowed around these parts).

Jimmy crack corn! Amy Winehouse has voluntarily checked herself into a rehab center, according to her record label. Universal says Winehouse needs “specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards.” Amy met with her record label, management, family and doctors today to discuss her treatment options.
The news comes just days after grainy video of Winehouse allegedly smoking crack made its way around the Internet.
Amy Winehouse, who has seemingly been doing better lately (she not only has been showing up to performances, but has also been seen eating around town while wearing semi-clean ballet slippers) had a little slip up last night when she was arrested in Norway for possession of about 7 grams of marijuana.
Of course her douche husband was involved, arrested and fined as well.

The 6th Annual High Times Stony Awards will take place on October 24 at BB King’s in New York. The Stonys celebrate the highest and stoniest movies and TV shows of the past year.
The co-hosts for this year’s Stonys are hip-hop legend Redman and stand-up comedian Doug Benson (”The Marijuana-Logues,” V-H1’s “Best Week Ever”).
So let’s get this straight…she cancels her tour, all upcoming appearances and then performs on Tuesday at the Mercury Awards? I’m confused…I thought she was on an island somewhere?
Singer Amy Winehouse has defended her husband in a series of texts after the couple were involved in a violent row which left them both bloodied and bruised.Amy denied Blake was the cause of the argument, 24 hours earlier after which the 23-year-old singer, who has spent most of the summer in and out of rehab for crack and heroin addiction, was seen with bandages covering her arm, blood-spattered shoes and a gashed knee.
And in a series of texts between the Rehab singer and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, she defended her husband who she claimed “saved my life”.
Amy told Perez: “Blake is the best man in the world. We would never ever harm each other… I was cutting myself after he found me in our room about to do drugs with a call girl and rightly said I wasn’t good enough for him. I lost it and he saved my life.”
Due to the rigours involved in touring, Amy Winehouse has been advised to postpone her upcoming September US and Canadian tour dates. All ticket holders may obtain refunds at their point of purchase. Amy’s European and UK tour dates in October and November remain in place. Plans are being made to reschedule her US tour for early 2008. Until then, Amy has been ordered to rest and is working with medical professionals to address her health. - Official Statement from Universal.
