Reports developing that around 5PM London time the police stormed Wino’s home…
Sources say they are still there, and have been taking into possession variuos AV materials and equipment.
It’s not yet apparent what prompted the raid or what they are looking for.
This raid comes after a seriouse of mis-steps for Wino inlcuding drug possession charges in Norway, pending GBH charges for Fielder-Civil and difficulty getting approval to enter the U.S
Amy Winehouse, who has seemingly been doing better lately (she not only has been showing up to performances, but has also been seen eating around town while wearing semi-clean ballet slippers) had a little slip up last night when she was arrested in Norway for possession of about 7 grams of marijuana.
Of course her douche husband was involved, arrested and fined as well.
Despite her often crazy and erratic behavior, to this point Amy Winehouse has been able to pull it together and deliver some pretty memorable appearances.
Unfortunately this doesn’t hold true of her less than stellar performance at last night’s MOBO awards. Her voice is aching, she can’t seem to remember most of the words (ya know, to the songs she her self wrote)….well check it out for yourself.
So let’s get this straight…she cancels her tour, all upcoming appearances and then performs on Tuesday at the Mercury Awards? I’m confused…I thought she was on an island somewhere?
“In a continued effort to support Amy Winehouse’s well being, in addition to the postponement of her U.S. tour, all other U.S. appearances have been cancelled.”
Singer Amy Winehouse has defended her husband in a series of texts after the couple were involved in a violent row which left them both bloodied and bruised.Amy denied Blake was the cause of the argument, 24 hours earlier after which the 23-year-old singer, who has spent most of the summer in and out of rehab for crack and heroin addiction, was seen with bandages covering her arm, blood-spattered shoes and a gashed knee.
And in a series of texts between the Rehab singer and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, she defended her husband who she claimed “saved my life”.
Amy told Perez: “Blake is the best man in the world. We would never ever harm each other… I was cutting myself after he found me in our room about to do drugs with a call girl and rightly said I wasn’t good enough for him. I lost it and he saved my life.”
Due to the rigours involved in touring, Amy Winehouse has been advised to postpone her upcoming September US and Canadian tour dates. All ticket holders may obtain refunds at their point of purchase. Amy’s European and UK tour dates in October and November remain in place. Plans are being made to reschedule her US tour for early 2008. Until then, Amy has been ordered to rest and is working with medical professionals to address her health. - Official Statement from Universal.
For those of you that can’t read between the lines, she’s in REHAB and Medical Professionals (REHAB) are trying to get her clean….oh how i love it.
“As Amy Winehouse continues to recuperate from her hospital visit last week — which her representatives insist was due to exhaustion but some media sources claim was a drug overdose — she has canceled another festival appearance.
After pulling out of shows in Norway and Denmark last week and two scheduled opening slots for the Rolling Stones this week, a spokesperson said Thursday (August 16) that Winehouse has pulled the plug on her Saturday and Sunday slots at the V Festival this weekend in England.
“Amy Winehouse is putting all her touring commitments for this month on hold until further notice in order to address her health issues,” read a statement from spokeswoman Tracey Miller. “Amy will now not be performing at this weekend’s V Festival in Chelmsford and Staffordshire. Her family has requested that the media respect Amy’s privacy at this time. There will be no further comment.”
Miller, who said at the time that Winehouse’s trip to the emergency room at the University College London Hospital on August 8 was due to exhaustion, denied that the 23-year-old singer has checked into a rehabilitation facility, as has been widely reported in the British tabloids.
Miller said Winehouse continues to be on bed rest on doctor’s orders and, as of press time, was still expected to honor her commitment to a string of U.S. tour dates with opening act Paolo Nutini slated to kick off on September 12 with a gig in New York’s Central Park.
She said Winehouse is also still planning to attend and perform at MTV’s Video Music Awards on September 9 in Las Vegas, where she is nominated for three awards, including Video of the Year for “Rehab,” Best New Artist and Female Artist of the Year.”
