While we at vicarious were zoning out to Weeds and  sleeping off another Monday, we missed a whole lotta drama from the Wino.

So re-cap time: Amy Winehouse was rushed to the hospital from her home in London last night.  Her spokesperson says that Amy suffered “a reaction to medication” and was taken to University College Hospital where she was treated & surveyed until her release around 9:45AM London time this A.M.

She’s said to now be at home “resting comfortably”. It’s certainly no secret that Ms. Winehouse has been experiencing some major health scares over the past few months including an early emphysema diagnosis.

We’re not going to feed the fire anymore than we have over the past few years.  If a “reaction to medication” is what we’re calling drug overdoses these days…so be it.  However in the words of Placebo: “please don’t die”.

UK’s News Of The World got their hands on some footage taken from Amy Winehouse’s husband’s stolen personal camcorder.

Already wildly circulating the Internet is this disturbing clip of Winehouse and a friend, high as kites, singing a disgustingly racist song for the camera.  Click here to see the video.

Also just in, the courts released information to the public announcing that Blake has plead guilty to charges of perversion of justice.  This was not expected.

He admitted to courts last week that he did indeed assault a barman and then covered it up.

His sentence is not yet known, but word on the street is that his admittance is in exchange for a plea bargain.

The fun never stops when you’re Amy Winehouse. 

After many boughts of public craziness, some more drug doing caught on tape, and allegations of cheating on her “beloved” and incarcerated Blake…with her manager’s assistant Alex Haynes, Daddy Winehouse is speaking out on the drastic measures he’s taking to help is daughter.

He spoke out to the UK’s news of the world in an open letter:

“I want her sectioned (institutionalized). The situation is getting out of control. I want her off the street. I don’t think being somewhere for six weeks is going to cure her problems. I think it needs far more radical measures. We will take the bull by the horns and deal with it. I’ve been on the phone to Amy’s manager in Los Angeles and he’s starting things rolling. They are going to be speaking to doctors, psychologists and everything else. I want Amy to be somewhere where she will be safe and where no harm can come to her. Obviously as her dad I will try and do what’s best for her. Unfortunately, what I think is best for Amy and what she thinks is best for her are two different things.”

And then confirmed the reports regarding Amy’s cheating ways, and why this rings the distress alarm surrounding her handlers:

“I am shocked. His job was to look after Amy. I asked him to stay with Amy while she was recording… This was not part of the job! I don’t like infidelity. But Alex could be the victim in all this. I can’t ever imagine Alex seducing Amy. He looks like Clark Kent. It was clearly the other way round and Amy had her wicked way with him…”

Some may criticize Mitch for speaking so candidly and openly to the media…but if we all remember correctly last time the Winehouse parentals reached out to Amy through the media…she went to rehab (even if only for a day or 2).  If they can’t reach Amy, I don’t see the harm in garnering the support of a nation (or 2).

I love Amy Winehouse for many reasons, possibly most for her ability to get hammered and perform.  Keep the sex, drugs and rock & roll alive…she should consider having lyrics on her, just watch!

Kanye had a genius performance at this years 50th Grammy’s.  Daft Punk and Kanye absolutely killed the stage and then Kanye had a beautiful tribute to his mother (which we all knew was going to happen).Then he done spoke…  He won best Rap Album beating out Nas, Jay-Z, T.I. (we were personally praying for a acceptance speech from JAIL) and Common.  He done did it, it crossed genres, WE HOME BABY…that’s right Kanye you’re home, we’re glad you snuck in 4 years ago.  Seriously asking them to stop the music because you drug on too long and talk about your mom.  Wow.  Should have made it short and sweet and just mentioned her.  We do however agree with you calling out Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson also putting out incredible music this past year.

Jimmy crack corn! Amy Winehouse has voluntarily checked herself into a rehab center, according to her record label.

Universal says Winehouse needs “specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards.” Amy met with her record label, management, family and doctors today to discuss her treatment options.

The news comes just days after grainy video of Winehouse allegedly smoking crack made its way around the Internet.
