When someone tells me they have this new artist, and said artist is working with Ryan Tedder (Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé), The Matrix (Britney Spears), Max Martin (Katy Perry, Pink), Brian Howes (Daughtry, David Cook), Zac Maloy (David Cook, Jason Castro), and Howard Benson (The All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance), my brain screeches to a halt and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete my noodle so it can reboot.

The musician I was told about is this girl named BC Jean and her music is as great as the people helping her make it. But don’t take her to be just another pretty face (and voice), BC was the co-writer for Beyonce’s single “If I Were A Boy” and became the subject of a signing frenzy following that hit. Afterwards she entered the studio to lay down her debut album — scheduled for release early 2011 on J Records. Below you will find a first listen of her single “Just a Guy,” co-written by BC & The Matrix and produced by One Republic’s Ryan Tedder.
With that short little blond bob, the infatuation with becoming a man and the rough voice, I would say someone is channeling their inner P!nk?! Thoughts PopWrappers?
