A new study conducted by Johns Hopkins University finds hard evidence that the iPod is leading the way to a generational hearing loss epidemic.

Currently there are an estimated 55 million Americans suffering from hearing loss, and of that an estimated 29 million have damage so great they have difficulty understanding conversational speech.

The study firmly suggests that this shocking number and dramatic increase is a direct result of “the personal listening device”.
