Trent Reznor back at it…
Trent Reznor made downloads of the new Nine Inch Nails album available for sale last night on the Internet at www.nin.com, while offering an edited version for free. Ghosts I-IV, a 36-track, two-hour instrumental collection recorded over “an intense 10-week period last fall,” is available immediately as a download for $5, including a 40-page pdf file booklet, while Ghost I, the first nine tracks, can be downloaded in high-quality, DRM-free MP3 form for nothing.
The album is also available as two conventional CDs in a six panel digipak package with a
16-page booklet for $10 (shipping April 8).
A $75 Deluxe Edition package in a hardcover fabric slipcase with two audio CDs, a data DVD featuring all 36 tracks in multi-track format and a Blu-ray disc in high-definition stereo which includes a slide show (shipping May 1)
A $300 Ultra-Deluxe Limited Edition, which also includes a four-LP vinyl set and a pair of Giclee prints in an edition of 2,500 personally numbered and signed by Reznor (shipping May 1). All the physical copies come with free downloads as well.
The album is also available now as a download at Amazon MP3, while the two-CD deluxe edition and a four-piece vinyl set for $39 will hit conventional U.S. retail on April 8 through RED distribution.
