Bryan Leach’s Polo Grounds Music has inked an exclusive marketing and public relations partnership with Fila, which will simultaneously promote Polo Grounds’ roster of artists and Fila’s new lifestyle apparel and footwear lines. Secured via the label’s new Brand Marketing Division, the deal combines print, broadcast and online advertising for Fila with traditional album promotions strategies that will coincide with each of the featured artists’ new projects. “The campaigns [will] coincide with the product releases from Fila,” Polo Grounds Founder and CEO Bryan Leach told AllHipHop.com. “We already have a campaign with 18-year-old singer/songwriter/musician Boxie and Diamond, formerly of Crime Mob, ready to go. New campaigns with Hurricane Chris, C-Ride & our newest signing Candace Jones are also lined up. Each campaign will be relevant to each artist’s direction.”

Britney Spears…”Another Day Another Drama”
February 6th, 2008 · 1 Comment
So somehow I COMPLETELY missed the official release of her video for “Piece of me”. Probably b/c I, like the rest of America have been consumed with her hospitalization and court room drama for the past month.
First of all Rolling Stone magazine has release it’s highly anticipated cover story detailing the rise and fall of Ms. Britney Spears. I’m sure there’s nothing inside it that we don’t already know thanks to the immediacy of the internet.

Mars Volta debut at #3 on today’s charts
February 6th, 2008 · No Comments
Good (not so old fashioned) rock and roll shows that it can still prevail with a #3 debut from prog-rock cult favorites the Mars Volta on today’s Billboard top 200.
The Volta’s past four albums have totaled over 1 million albums sold and counting with last weeks release of “The Bedlam in Goliath”.
They prove that with a solid touring ethic, die hard fan base and some good marketing skills-selling albums isn’t impossible.
Noteworthy of the Volta is that they are the first rock group to provide the option of purchasing a USB stick which includes their new album, full artwork, exclusive content, and will update on the 29th of every month with new features.
