Vicariousmusic are extremely saddened to report the untimely passing of Kanye West’s mother Donda.

Kanye’s publicist confirmed the news late last night to settle the rumors, but did not state a cause of death.  Donda is said to have tragically passed while having plastic surgery, but again at this point this is merely a speculation as the formal cause has not yet been released.

Donda was a celebrity mother who always had her son’s best interest well ahead of her own.  When Kanye’s career took off she quit her job as an English teacher to help him with his budding career, taking on the role of his manager and working with him on all of he entrepreneurial endeavors.

Most recently she released a sort of self help/parenting book with Kanye’s blessing entitled “Raising Kanye: Life Lessons from the Mother of a Hip-Hop Star”.
