Trent Reznor and Saul Williams have teamed up for a recent release, The Rise and Fall of Niggy Tardust that was available on October 31, 2007.  I say available because low-quality mp3’s were free and if you decided that you could do without your latte for the day, you could get the full release in higher-quality mp3’s for $5.00.  Since most major label’s haven’t adjusted their spending and thinking… I would like to personally thank Reznor and Williams, along with Radiohead (for In Rainbows putting your own price on music) and Madonna (for her teaming up with Live Nation) since the industry is in a current chaos, restructuring itself with a new business model, at least someone is taking  a stab at helping it adjust.  Personally, music is invaluable and these ideas are a great start for putting that change in motion.
