“That supposedly isolated incident of anti-Bush political speech being cut out of AT&T’s broadcast of Pearl Jam’s Lollapalooza set? Turns out the incident wasn’t so isolated after all. Shortly after news broke that AT&T’s Blue Room webcast of the PJ set excised several comments made by singer Eddie Vedder that were critical of the president, a spokeswoman for AT&T released a statement saying similar “mistakes” had happened before.
“It’s not our intent to edit political comments in webcasts on the AttBlueRoom.com,” AT&T spokeswoman Tiffany Nels said in the statement released Friday. “Unfortunately, it has happened in the past in a handful of cases. We have taken steps to ensure that it won’t happen again.”
Another AT&T spokesperson told MTV News on Thursday that the cutting of Vedder’s declaration, “George Bush, leave this world alone!,” was an unintentional “mistake” by the third-party company hired to stream the concert (see “Pearl Jam Wonder: Were Anti-Bush Comments Edited From Webcast Really An ‘Error’?”). But fans quickly pointed out that similar cuts had allegedly been made to sets by the Flaming Lips and the John Butler Trio at the Bonnaroo festival earlier this summer.
Nels did not say specifically what the “handful” of cases were, and MTV News could not independently confirm the Butler or Lips edits at press time. However, Lips manager Scott Booker told MTV on Friday that the band is working on getting a copy of the Bonnaroo performance. “I’m sure Wayne said something,” Booker said of the group’s leader, Wayne Coyne, who has never been shy in concert about offering his profanity-laced comments about the administration. Booker said that while he could not recall the exact nature of Coyne’s comments that night, they invariably included unkind statements about the White House.”

Kanye West’s album cover was leaked about 2 weeks ago. But it was really the wrong album artwork. Don’t believe everything you hear and see people.
This is actually not the real album cover…
Now this is the confirmed REAL album artwork.
Honestly, I don’t like either one of them. The teddy bear theme is a little childish for me. He is still hooked on that school thing, why? It may be time that he graduates from that whole theme.
Who do you have your money on winning the September 11 battle between Kanye and 50 Cent? You can actually create an account on bodog.com and place bets on who will win the compeition. This is funny, it is a big deal. This competition is one of the more exciting things that has happend in rap for a minute. View the picture below, or go to THIS link and place your bets! I for one will not be.

Fifty possibly feeling the pressure of the September 11 competition…
“50 Cent erupted at the G-Unit offices in New York Thursday night after his collaboration with Robin Thicke leaked in both song and video form, a source told MTV News.
On Thursday morning, G-Unit Records unveiled a new song from 50’s September 11 LP, Curtis: a neighborhood knocker named “We on Some Sh–” that features Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. But by nightfall, mayhem apparently ensued when not only another Curtis song leaked online — “Follow My Lead,” his collaboration with Robin Thicke — but its accompanying video as well.
According to the source, “Follow My Lead” wasn’t supposed to be released until further down the line in Curtis’ run, especially since 50 has videos for “I Get Money” and “Ayo Technology” already in rotation (see “50 Cent Suits Up For ‘Ayo Technology’ Clip With Justin Timberlake, Timbaland”).
Needless to say, 50 didn’t take the news too kindly, causing quite a stir at the G-Unit offices, according to both the source and the web site of radio personality/journalist MissInfo. 50 reportedly erupted, ripping out a plasma TV, throwing his cell phone through a glass window and saying that he was going on vacation.
50 talked about his frustration over the way Interscope handled his Curtis project with DJ Kay Slay on New York’s Hot 97 in an interview that aired late Thursday night.
“The process has been ill for me this go-around,” he said. “I usually have to start a project myself, as far as Interscope. I got to lead. On the first album, ‘Wanksta’ just took off before ‘In Da Club’ came about. When we got to The Massacre, I leaked ‘Disco Inferno’ and they caught up with ‘Candy Shop.’ This album, I threw ‘Straight to the Bank’ out there and ‘Amusement Park’ was the joint they were supposed to assist me with going after. But when that came, it grew at the same pace that ‘Straight to the Bank’ grew. And I was like, ‘Yo, it don’t feel like it’s a difference in the support for the actual record.’”

“The drummer from award winning rock band The John Butler Trio has told how of his battle to save a drowning victim yesterday.
Michael Barker was riding his bike to a public pool at Townsville, where the band performed last night, when he rushed to help bystanders pulling a man from the Ross River.
Mr Barker and another man tried in vain to pull the victim, 22-year-old Shane Solomon, from the water and up a steep embankment before paramedics arrived.
However, Mr Solomon was declared dead at the scene.
A shocked Mr Barker said he was upset he was too late to help the man.
“I was just on my way to the pool to go for a swim,” said the drummer, who performed with The John Butler Trio at the Townsville Entertainment Centre last night.
“I just heard a bit of a ruckus and there was a lady calling for help so myself and another gentleman went down assist.
“We slid down the embankment, which was quite a steep climb.
“The other gentleman was administering some chest compressions, but he was oozing a lot of froth which wasn’t a good sign. He had a huge bump on his head.”
Mr Barker said he didn’t hseitate before helping.
“It was the right thing to do,” he said.
Townsville CIB officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Joe Kitching said the death appeared to be a tragic accident.
“There doesn’t appear to be any suspicious circumstances,” he said.”

We just found this hilarious!
The new Elton John bio written by David Buckley has a fun (it’s only fun because he did not succeed, we’re not completely insensitive around here) fact about Sir Elton. Apparently, back when he was pretending to be straight (but really who was he fooling) the superstar tried to off himself before his wedding to Linda Woodrow.
Story states that friend Bernie Taupin went looking for Elton to get him ready for the walk down the aisle only to find him with his head in the oven!
David writes, “Elton had stuck his head in the oven, but set the gas on low with all the windows open. What’s more, he was resting his head on the pillow.”

Thank you so much putting the rumors to rest and admitting to your recent troubles via the below statement, but can’t you see that your hit song is no longer ironic but just plain scary?
“It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. It was just crazy—one of the most terrifying moments of my life. I don’t know how to explain what happened. I don’t really know myself. I can’t remember what I looked like. I couldn’t recognize myself. It was terrifying—I was terrified. I was so out of control. It just happened. It shocked me. I’m sorry—I just don’t know what got into me. I never want to feel that way again. I’ve scared myself this time. I was all over the place. I know things have got to change. I have to sort myself out. I’m fine. I’ll be back at work on Monday. I’m fine, honest.”
However, despite acknowledging her overdoes and drinking/drugging problem, the songstress snuck out of rehab and checked herself into a hotel. As far as we know most Four Seasons do not offer detox….
She claims she’ll be jumping back on her tour today and all will be well.
