Music Review

Aiden “Conviction”

Something I would only listen to when I’m feeling sad and driving around in my car during the summer time. I’ve heard people saying that “one love” is there favorite song on this album, but as for me I dislike it the most. It’s too cheesy and I don’t like the lyrics.

What do you get when you put one of the hottest producer’s (Timbaland) put him in with one of the classic rock bands of the 80’s and throw in a pop star (JT)?

“…the new boss.”
Flaunt Magazine

“…his haunting melodies put Stai in a class with the likes of Val Emmerich and Matt Costa. Stai has a real skill penning the wistful tunes that echo through a listeners subconscious.”
Skratch Magazine

“….Nico Stai writes achingly emotional acoustic tunes. Beautiful melodies and all the sensibilities of the purest singer-songwriters.”
Cd Review.com

“…moody, haunting….beautifully understated…”

H. Kristal

Hilly Kristal didn’t expect what he ended up getting…  When he welcomed unknown bands to his Bowery Dive: Television, The Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, The Pattie Smith Group and so many more…He was a farm kid from Jersey where he had tastes and hopes for C (Country) BG (Bluegrass) B (Blues) to flourish and fill his club, instead his cramped club became the epicenter of punk rock movement, setting off a three-chord musical revolution that spread around the world.

Kristal, 75, died from lung cancer this past Tuesday at a Manhattan hospice after a long fight with the disease.  Sad to see all of this come to a close…

“In a continued effort to support Amy Winehouse’s well being, in addition to the postponement of her U.S. tour, all other U.S. appearances have been cancelled.”
